We design weddings throughout Taranaki and Auckland, and beyond. If you’re marrying somewhere further afield, get in touch and we’ll chat through what’s possible.(We’ve recently moved our studio base to Auckland, but still call Taranaki home).

We recommend about one year in advance. We take on a limited number of weddings each year so every couple, and every bloom, gets the care and attention it deserves, which means popular dates go quickly. Bookings for Summer 2027/28 are now open. Enquire today to check availability for your date.

Remember every wedding is designed around you, so no two quotes look the same. Our wedding packages start from $4,000, which is also our minimum spend. Once we understand your vision, guest numbers and venue, we’ll put together a tailored proposal.

Not at all. Our consults are complimentary and there’s no obligation to book us. We know life gets busy, so after-hours appointments can be arranged too.

It all starts with a conversation. We’ll get to know you, your style, your story and the feeling you want your day to have. From there, Kelly will create a proposal tailored to your vision. Once you’re happy, we’ll secure your date and keep in touch as the details come together, right through to delivering and styling your flowers on the day. Calm, seamless and stress-free is the aim.

A 30% non-refundable retainer locks in your date. The remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before your wedding.

Life happens, and we understand. We allow one date change from your original booking, subject to our availability. We just ask for at least 30 days’ notice, and full payment is still due 30 days before your original or revised date.

We generally start with a colour palette and select seasonal flowers to suit the style you are going for. We’ll talk through the blooms, colours and textures you love (and don’t love) to make sure we’re on the same page. Flowers are a natural product though, and occasionally something won’t arrive at the quality we’d want for your day. If that happens, we’ll substitute flowers of equal value and keep the integrity of your colour palette, so the overall look and feel stays true to your vision.

Absolutely. We’ll work closely with you and your planner/on the day coordinator to bring everything together seamlessly.

When you book with us, The Flower Cart becomes the sole florist for your wedding. That means no other person or business provides fresh or artificial flowers for your ceremony or reception without our consent. It keeps your florals cohesive from start to finish. If you’ve got something special in mind, like a family member’s garden roses, just ask and we’ll chat it through.

Yes! Our trendy sandwich board welcome sign is free to hire (with flowers) when you book our full floral styling service. We also have a great selection of vases/vessels along with some white ripple plinths and clear acrylic plinths. Enquire to find out what else we have available to hire.

We deliver and style your flowers on the day, and Kelly loves hand-delivering bridal bouquets herself. Enquire for more information about pack-down after your celebration.

Kelly can tailor a workshop for all interests and age groups using fresh or dried flowers. Flower crown workshops are a favourite for hen’s parties, dried flower wreaths are lovely for baby showers, and Christmas wreath workshops are a hit with corporate teams.

Yes! Kelly will travel to your venue, home or workplace for groups of eight or more. Enquire about travel to your location.

Just the snacks and wine! We’ll bring all the flowers and tools you need to create something beautiful.
