About

Kelly established The Bella Bloom Co, a specialist wedding floral design studio in Brisbane nine years ago after leaving the corporate world and hasn’t looked back since.

As a child Kelly recall’s spending many hours watching her mum create beautiful flower designs and craft cake flowers for hours on end, and recently discovered her great grandmother was a farmer/florist in New Plymouth, so her return to Taranaki feels like she has come full circle.

Kelly studied floristry in Brisbane and has had some amazing opportunities to work for and with some of the worlds leading floral designers, notably Francoise Weeks, Holly Heider Chapel and luxury floral designer & stylist Karen Tran.
Kelly has attended Karen Tran’s workshops in Santorini, Phuket and Sydney and was also the support florist for Karen’s events in Brisbane and Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast.

Kelly is extremely proud to have won the prestigious Australian Bridal Industry Academy’s (ABIA) Designer of Dreams Floral designer of the year award in 2017 and 2018. The Queensland State and National awards represent consistency of service and quality of design. Other career highlights include working with celebrated event planner and stylist Alysia Bridger Events to ‘’floralise’’ a charity event held at Palazzo Versace with guest speaker Paul Burrell (Lady Diana’s butler) on the 20th anniversary of her passing.

Words from a happy bride

I didn’t realize how excited I would be about our wedding flowers until I met kelly. After the first consult with her I left feeling so excited I could tell then that she understood what I was after. When I saw our bouquets on the day I couldn’t believe how beautiful they were and how they were what I had asked for but even more amazing than I could have imagined. She put in soo much work to make our flowers special. I was also sooo impressed with our flower arch that stayed together in the craziest winds for days!! Highly recommend Kelly. She made the process very special and exciting.
